What to Expect During Your First Chiropractic Visit
Initial Assessment and Personalized Treatment Planning
Every new patient at Sierra Chiropractic begins with a thorough assessment to ensure safe, targeted care tailored to your specific needs.
At your first visit, you’ll be asked to provide important health information such as past injuries or surgeries, medications, and any relevant family medical history. This helps your chiropractor understand your overall health and determine the safest, most effective treatment approach.
Because this is your first appointment, it will take longer than future visits. Your chiropractor will perform a full physical assessment, which may include checking your posture, range of motion, reflexes, and other orthopedic or neurologic tests. X-rays may be recommended depending on your condition and symptoms.
After your assessment, your chiropractor will discuss their findings and explain your diagnosis and treatment options. In some cases, treatment may begin on the first visit. However, many patients are asked to return for a second appointment so the doctor has time to create a fully customized care plan.
If you ever have questions at any stage of treatment, please ask—we’re here to support your comfort and understanding throughout your care.
